Meet Janaki Madhushika from Rambukwella, a visually impaired entrepreneur with remarkable determination.

Trained at the Apeksha Institute for visually impaired sewing, Janaki creates bags and mats with skill and precision.

She was connected to us through the Sri Lanka National Federation for the Visually Handicapped.

To support her journey, the Rotary Club of Colombo Mid Town provided a high-speed sewing machine to help scale her production and grow her income.

This is what empowerment looks like, enabling capability, not just providing aid.
