As part of the Healing Minds Matter initiative, the Rotary Club of Colombo Port City, the Rotary Club of Colombo Midtown, and the Rotary Club of Anuradhapura hosted the globally acclaimed QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) training in Anuradhapura. This impactful four-hour session, conducted by psychologist Nivendra Uduman, provided over 30 participants with essential skills to recognize and assist individuals experiencing suicidal ideation, guiding them to seek appropriate help.

The program was enriched by the presence of Rotary District Governor Sushena Ranatunga and District Secretary Gamini Madanayake, who offered their encouragement and support for this vital initiative. The event was made possible through the leadership of Sandaruwan Samarathunga (President, Rotary Club of Anuradhapura), Rasini Bandara (President, Rotary Club of Colombo Midtown), and Michael Jayawardana (President, Rotary Club of Colombo Port City).

A highlight of the session was the diverse composition of participants, including Rotary members, school counselors, police officers, and entrepreneurs. This ensured the life-saving knowledge reached a wide spectrum of society, amplifying its impact.
